Coachella has announced the exciting addition of a whole new live music experience at this year’s festival. The introduction of a sensory experience stage will debut at the festival inside the world’s largest projection dome. The stage will be called The Antarctic and, according to Coachella, will provide fans with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a “360 degree audio-visual sensory experience.” Below is the picture provided by Coachella of the dome upon announcing it on Twitter.
While not a lot of specifics have been provided, Coachella has claimed that the stage will take fans on a “mind-blowing metamorphic journey through time, space, and consciousness.”
This new addition to the festival is created by Obscura Digital and powered by HP technology, exclusively for Coachella. The new stage is planned to be open during the day and night and will be accessible from Camping and Venue.

Coachella will take place in Indio, California over the course of two weekends this month, April 14 to April 16 and April 21 to April 23. Lady Gaga will be headlining the festival after replacing Beyoncé who was originally expected as the headliner prior to the announcement of her pregnancy.
