Linkin Park Have Teamed Up With Stormzy For Song On Their New Album

Linkin Park have announced that they have been working on a new track with Grime superstar, Stormzy.

The band are best known for their heavier music, but have been experimenting with their sound over the last few years. Linkin Park are about to release their sixth studio album, “One More Light”, May 19th. Last month they released the track “Heavy”, which you can listen to here.

Some really interesting music news, as Linkin Park now have a collaboration with Stormzy in the pipeline. In a recent interview with BeBoxMusic, they referred to Stormzy as “dope”. Chester Bennington said “We like Stormzy and we think that he’s dope. Little did we know that, he was about to take over the world.”

Speaking about teaming up with Stormzy, Chester goes on to say, “It required us reaching out saying ‘Hey, we like Stormzy, here’s a track if you would like to participate on it, that would be awesome.’ Apparently he was like, ‘Yeah.’ That wasn’t that difficult, but we knew of Stormzy and that’s why we reached out to him.”

The song is called “Good Goodbye”, and features not only Stormzy but Pusha T. ‘Good Goodbye’ will appear on “One More Light”.

Speaking to Billboard about the new album, Mike Shinoda has said that “Heavy” is the core sound of the album.

Mike said “One of the reasons why we chose ‘Heavy’ as the first single is because it is really the core sound of the album. This wasn’t a scenario where the whole album sounds one way and the single sounds different. This is how the album sounds. So we wanted to go out with a song like that, where everybody can get a sense of the direction of this body of work.”
