Linkin Park Have released their new song with Stormzy, ‘Good Goodbye’.
The song will feature on the bands sixth studio album, ‘One More Light’, and it will be out on May 19th
Linkin Park have recently released their lead single from the album, Heavy, and have been talking about working with Stormzy, this past week. Now we finally get to hear what they have been working on.
The song was first released by Zane Lowe on Beats 1. Check out the song below.
Chester Bennington has recently been speaking about working with Stormzy, here is what he had to say about the Grime superstar, “We like Stormzy and we think that he’s dope. Little did we know that, he was about to take over the world.”
“It required us reaching out saying ‘Hey, we like Stormzy, here’s a track if you would like to participate on it, that would be awesome.’ Apparently he was like, ‘Yeah.’ That wasn’t that difficult, but we knew of Stormzy and that’s why we reached out to him.”
Speaking to Billboard about the new album, Mike Shinoda has said that “Heavy” is the core sound of the album.
Mike said “One of the reasons why we chose ‘Heavy’ as the first single is because it is really the core sound of the album. This wasn’t a scenario where the whole album sounds one way and the single sounds different. This is how the album sounds. So we wanted to go out with a song like that, where everybody can get a sense of the direction of this body of work.”
