An official video released by Korn shows footage of their first show with 12 year old bassist, Tye Trujillo. Check out the video below.
Tye Trujillo is the son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, and has been brought on tour to help Korn cover for Fieldy on the South American leg of their world tour.
The footage shows Tye warming up backstage at Bogota’s Gran Carpa De Las Americas in Colombia. Robert Trujillo is also seen in the video and is clearly extremely proud of his son.
Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu is unable to make the tour “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Tye Trujillo plays in a band called the Helmet and will cover “Fieldy” for the shows in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. “Fieldy” will be back for the North American leg of their tour, which starts May 6th.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy is unable to make the shows so the band will be joined by a special guest. Filling in for bass duties will be Tye Trujillo – the 12-year old son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo and member of NorCal group The Helmets.
“We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye.
“We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.”
