Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins were performing alongside Wallflowers keyboardist Rami Jaffeeat at benefit show ‘Acoustic 4 A Cure IV’ in San Francisco last night when they debuted the band’s new song, ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’.
The performance and debut of the song seemed to be rather impromptu, with Grohl stating “I figured on the way up here, I thought ‘fuck it let’s play a new song man. We’ve never played this song in front of anybody. It’s called ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’” right before playing it.
‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’ takes on a new sound for the band, incorporating a very sombre blue-oriented feel to it.

It is believed that the Foo Fighters will be spending most of 2017 recording their new album and the debut of this new single is a good sign of that! The band will also be headlining Glastonbury 2017 alongside Radiohead and Ed Sheeran.
