Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles And Journey To Headline New Classic Music Festival

The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Earth Wind & Fire, The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan have just been announced to play at two new festivals in the US.

They all will perform at the Classic West and Classic East two day festivals this July. Classic West will be the first event, being held on July 15th and 16th at Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium. It will then be followed by Classic East on July 29th and 30th at New York’s Citi Field.

The Eagles will be the first band to open at both shows, followed by The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan. The second night will have performances by music legends Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth Wind & Fire.

November 2015 was the last time Fleetwood Mac last performed at a headline concert. This will be the first time The Eagles have played together since Glenn Frey sadly passed away last year.

Don Henley did say that The Eagles would never play again after Glenn died but seemingly has had a change of heart.

A source close to the band has had this to say “It’s not a decision they have taken lightly but their feelings have changed and they know there’s huge demand from fans who want to see them. None of them need the money — they want to make sure the shows are respectful and fitting tribute.

“The band are still dealing with the issue of replacing Glenn and have secretly held talks with some performers, but they are also discussing the possibility of sharing his duties between them.”
